What makes Zulily operations unique?

Launching everyday offerings and daily, limited-time deals requires flexibility within our supply chain – we fluctuate with each vendor’s business model
Innovation is at our core, and our fulfillment centers are an amazing example of how we utilize our own technology, unique systems, and talented team to deliver on an exceptional customer experience each day. Zulily has three different fulfillment centers as part of its infrastructure to help handle incoming international and domestic freight. Our fulfillment centers are located in Columbus, OH; Reno, NV; and Shenzhen, China.
We obsess over consolidation – pack factor – and focus on getting product into our fulfillment centers as quickly as possible. Once your product reaches our warehouse, items are consolidated into a single package, which reduces waste and requires fewer trips to moms’ doors. We’re able to ship the items we receive on the same day, eliminating the need to hold and store inventory. Our fulfillment centers turn on average 40-50 times per year as compared to most retailers, which turn 4-5 times per year.
Unlike a traditional inventory model, Zulily doesn’t purchase inventory from the vendor until the customer places an order with us. We work closely with our vendors to manage the flow of inventory from the point of the purchase until the time it hits our fulfillment centers.
Software solutions 

We build everything from the ground up, including our own warehouse management software (WMS), which enables our fulfillment center teams to work side by side to inform and develop enhancements to drive efficiencies in the supply chain process, which allows us to pass along savings to moms. This software is now integrated throughout the Qurate Retail Group network, ensuring optimized efficiency and scale to serve our global customer base.

Triple Z 
For newer brands without robust logistics footprints to larger brands seeking fulfillment solutions, Zulily provides product storage, shipping, and order fulfillment services through its in-stock program, Triple Z. If approved, a vendor ships items to a Zulily fulfillment center in advance of an event, and we then sell their goods. This infrastructure allows vendors to grow and gives us the opportunity to feature unique items more frequently, and ship products to moms more quickly. Triple Z fulfills purchase orders on a 1–2-day ship order timeline for the customer.
Vendor Portal 
Zulily’s homegrown Vendor Portal keeps everything moving smoothly. Through the Portal, we help more than 15,000 vendors each day choose SKUs for their sales events and provide access to a suite of powerful tools containing data to help them meet the demand of millions of moms, such as product information, shipping, billing, real-time sales data, and detailed geographic product sales reporting, plus analytics to optimize product mix.
